guac!

16 Oct

lets face it…every girl needs a go-to-guacamole recipe. whether it be for the party your throwing at your house, a side dish for a mexican dinner or a all-day-every-day snack. its delicious, healthy and lets not forget that its fabulous for your skin & hair!

ingredients:

4 avocados

1 tomato

2 cloves minced garlic

1 onion

salt

cilantro

2 jalapeno

directions:

1) all of these ingredients EXCEPT the avocados are to taste. make sure your avocados are soft to the touch. hard avocados make for awful guacamole.

2) cut the avocados down the middle & use a spoon to get the inside of the avocados out and into a medium-sized mixing bowl. pluck the seed from the middle using a sharp steak knife. once avocados are in bowl press until the guacamole is smooth but slightly chunky.

3) dice your tomato, jalapenos & onion. my husband abhors onions, so we leave this out, but if making with onion use about 1/4 cup of diced onions. i use an entire tomato in my guac because i LOVE them, but if your not as partial as i am 1/2 cup is a standard portion. 2 jalapenos makes for a mild-medium spice. add more jalapenos if you like it spicy. stir all of these ingredients into the avocado until well-mixed.

4) mince your two garlic gloves and stir into guacamole.

5) add salt to taste & squeeze 1 wedge of a lime over the top.

6) guac is ready to be loved by all.
